I was there.

Caught the 14A special and back for Christmas Dinner.

Going back even further I can remember the match on Christmas day against PNE when Bill Perry scored a hat-trick at Bloomfield Road in a 4-2 win over our near neighbours and the following day another win on Boxing day.
When it came to Easter we would play three games, the Good Friday, the Saturday and then on Easter Monday.

That would've saved me having to sit in a house with two boys on PS5's, the wife and Mother in Law watching Strictly and the Father in Law asleep before the Queen had come on. Thank God for the dog!

Yes and back in the day, Dave Drury was unavailable for
Good Friday matches for religious reasons.

This match was the last time that the three musketeers, me, my Dad and my brother, all went to the game together. All season ticket holders in the South Stand. I went off to university the following year, my brother had to work Saturdays so only my Dad could attend. Sadly they're both gone.
