His touch let’s him down at time, he runs the ball out of play, misses chances, but what an outlet!

His speed is frightening, can’t think of a quicker Pool player?

That’s now 3 or 4 goals for the team where he goes to the byline and cuts it back for someone to run in onto and finish.

Speed kills and he’s got loads of it.

He’s a speedboat no brakes at times, and lacks that bit of quality but we are in League 1 & if he had that all the time as well he wouldn’t be playing for us, The pace he showed when he got scythed down in the 2nd half to beat the first man was unreal.

A counter attacking dream. Great for us against the better teams who will attack us.

UTP.

He’s frustrating that he cuts back too often instead of playing a ball across, agreed he is rapid and hopefully more to come, can be an exciting player

Never doubted the guy; too many seemed to have grown accustomed to the quality of the Premier League and Champions League whilst we've been away.
This is League One football, you rarely, if ever get the finished article.
At this level he is a class act, and under Critchley he is likely to only get better.
If we continue to see improvement from players like CJ, Expiteta, Yates & Gretarsson etc we should have the foundations of a very good team.

He’s much more effective when the opposition plays 3 at the back like yesterday. It means their left wing back’s attacking threat is almost completely nullified as they daren’t push forward and leave him too much space behind. Also if they try and double up, the most obvious help for the wing back would be the left sided cb and him being dragged out to their left flank frees up more space for the front two, Kakai and/or central midfielders.

The current formation suits more as with 2 in the middle there is no spare centre back able to come across and help the left back if CJ gets a one-on-one. Also having 2 in the middle and Kaikai coming in at the back means more chance of his crosses finding a tangerine shirt.

I think that some time soon CJ will start to score the odd goal.
He really deserves it after all his running.
However, he is his own worst enemy as he always wants to break the net instead of a nicely placed shots.

Good coaching - good attitude and pressure to perform. No player in the side is guaranteed a starting place. Takes time to implement but NC is certainly getting there.

Once he learns to cut inside instead of always going down the outside, he'll get penalties galore.
Pre season that's what he was doing. Both goals he scored came from cutting in onto his left.
Can't understand why he's stopped doing that?

He seems to get a lot of stick on here(he cant score, he cant pass and he cant cross the ball)..he has scored goals, he has created more goals and chances than anyone else and is a game changer..I dont get the criticism and he would be my player of the season so far...other teams are scared to death of him and so they should be

I imagine that's lack of finishing confidence Dave. Critch and co are the ones to encourage him to calm down a bit in front of goal and get some rewards - let's face it he's usually already gained that extra second or three!

It makes a lot of difference having three attacking these cutbacks instead of just one or two. If you only have one in the middle up front a midfielder needs to be gambling
