Tangential, but I've been contacted by both Jewish and Muslim candidates in the last week asking for help finding work abroad because in one case their wife was attacked and in others they just don't feel safe.

I'm not invested or intelligent enough to apportion blame, but it does seem like these conflicts increasingly become very binary, divisive issues. I'm on another forum where the tribal nature discussing whether Israeli babies were merely murdered or beheaded, and who bombed a hospital could be dragged straight from the text of 1984.
