They're on at the Bootleg at the end of July. Unsigned as yet I think. Singles decent and only £6 tickets.
Jekyll are another really good local band but I think they're now based in Manchester.

Or this one - played on the tannoy at God’s Favourite Club a few tines 2011-12 season ....

OLLY’s ALREADY CHANGED THE WORLD

They (and the council) probably won’t like this one, by arguably the Gold Coast’s earliest punk band .

Skrewdriver 👊

Listen to the album with friends and family - about 12 minutes 45 seconds in - A song about Blackpool Council - ‘Too Much Confusion’ - by Skrewdriver....

Lyrics : please read and sing along 👍🧡

All the councillors, in Blackpool
With their poxy cars, can just fuck off
You're much too old, to persecute us
Bet your sick about the local publicity huh? Thank you!
Chorus:
Too much confusion
Too much confusion
Too much confusion, out there
(? ), spouting shit
Well you ain't too convincing
You know you can't fool everybody
All the violence, all the reporters sniffing around
Tomorrow's headlines, we all know who's gonna get the blame, don't we huh?
(Repeat Chorus)
There's so many people, condemning me
They're just trying to dictate, tell me what to think
Well I don't need your prayers, I don't need your write-ups
And I don't need your putdowns, so just go and mess with someone else's life will ya?

Bet 99% of the bands mentioned couldnt do a 45 min set on stage. Most will be the same age as john lydon and past it. Focus on the new upcoming stuff not some ageing has beens hoping for another 5 mins of fame.

Maybe the club or armfield club should think about a battle of the bands with heats. No heats for thr veteran section, st johns ambulance on standby.

Go on Ratty lad - as well as playing in Alien Sex Fiend Ratty drummed for Erase Today circa 95/96 - played the band’s last gig at the Holidays in The Sun festival in 1996 .... 25 years ago FFS 🤣🤣

If you like vaguely 60s folky sounding stuff ( not really my thing) then two people I know well from work have a local band called the Fab Clocks.
