Hearing his agreed terms with Orient compensation agreed just needs to be sign the contract. Should be done with 24/48 hours.

The very idea has not gone down well on the Orient forum. Calderwood second favourite with the bookies allegedly.

It wouldn't surprise me given the majority of his career has been down south. I would hope however that any announcement would be held until after our current campaign has finished.

I'd be gutted if he went for 2 reasons. One he sorted the defence, no one can argue with that and has laid the foundation for NC to sort going forward to more effect.

Two, we let him go.
Why can "no one can argue with that"? I think you will find there were a multitude of factors going into our defensive improvement - new defensive minded players (e.g. Gretarsson, Dougall), others finally settling in (Ekpiteta). Oh and Colin Calderwood! 😃
One can only directly attribute it all to CC if nothing changed around the time he joined.

Next you'll be telling me that the upturn in results in 2006+ was 'a bit' to do with VB.

The connection comes, eventually.

I know there's been much debate on Calderwood's importance throughout the season, but regardless of that I wouldn't want any changes to occur right now, be it him, or Garrity or any of the backroom staff or ,of course, manager. Clearly it's working, whatever each of them has brought to the table.

Kenny Jackett is 1/4 on. I’m looking at glass half full. But he dumped Northampton so wouldn’t surprise me if he did the same here. Would be gutted if he left as the turn of results since he has been appointed speak for themselves

Exactly this. Not interested in arguing the exact % of who on the coaching staff is exactly responsible for the good or bad, as a whole they are working superbly and we want no disruption at this crucial part of the season.

I would expect the board to give very short shrift to any enquiries, telling clubs to respect our situation and we’ll discuss after the playoffs are done.

Calderwood is also clearly much more effective as a no.2, he’s done stellar jobs under Chris Hughton and now for us. Hopefully he’s invested in the bigger picture here. Keeping him would be massive for next season.

And I’ve written far too much about an unsubstantiated rumour.

Hope he doesn’t go, at the very least he taught Greta to play on proper grass. That took some doing.

Sounds to me like someone is trying to put the cat amongst the pigeons. I call bul lshit...
Yeah seem suspect timing.

I've heard...... (Googles oxford assistant managers)... that Derek Fazackerley is looking to leave due to a bust up over tactics 🤷 madness.

All this comes from the fact Calderwood’s best mate Martin Ling is director of football at Orient. Apparently gets linked with the job every time, but never gets it

It would seem an unwise decision to opt for Orient over Blackpool right at the moment.
Fingers crossed we could be promoted and, with the way the club is developing and the team investment we could be the surprise package next season. I might be dreaming, but a return to the Prem is not beyond all possibility. Would CC rather be assistant/joint manager in the Prem or manager in the 4th Division? So it might be wiser to continue the ride with Blackpool for the moment.

I heard that Jackett is in the chairman's pocket (or maybe it was the other way round). He will have to cut his cloth accordingly at Orient that's for sure.
