I'm not sure that's quite right. They (we, as I live in Fylde) are not supposed to travel on public transport except for essential trips, but there is nothing in the rules which obliges people to stay in their area as per the national lockdown:Under the lockdown rules they're not supposed to travel except for work and shopping.
The Government are looking at following the Welsh model which does ban travel into and out of areas.I'm not sure that's quite right. The government has confirmed that local lockdown restrictions will be enforced across Lancashire from Tuesday to “curb rising infection rates”. But with much confusion over what the new restrictions mean for people in the county, we've put together a list of what you can and cannot do.
I've no plans to go anywhere as I want this mess to be over asap, but I don't believe I'm not allowed under the rules to go to the beach or whatever if I wanted to.
- Residents must not socialise with other people outside of their own households or support bubble in private homes and gardens
- Hospitality for food and drink will be restricted to table service only and late-night operating hours will be restricted
- Leisure and entertainment venues including restaurants, pubs, and cinemas, are required to close between 10pm and 5am.
- People are also advised to only use public transport for essential purposes, such as travelling to school or work
- People must avoid attending amateur and semi-professional sporting events as spectators.
- People who are shielding in the eight Blackburn wards currently under local restrictions will no longer need to from October 5, bringing them into line with the rest of Blackburn with Darwen where shielding is already due to pause Monday.
They'll be shopping for fish & chips, 10 pints of Stella and an impromptu sick bag.Under the lockdown rules they're not supposed to travel except for work and shopping.
They've just announced that grandparents informal childcare is exempt from local lockdown rules. If they drop the baby off for a while...I'm just happy that my Grandson brought his baby round yesterday.
Might not see them again for ages.
And now the very people who are most at risk, grandparents, are excluded. It also seems to me that although I can’t meet my daughter in hers, or my house or garden, I can meet her in a pub. Doesn’t make sense to me.I'm not sure that's quite right.
