Congratulations Seamus

One of the best loan signings we have ever made. The lad just had it. It’s a shame he didn’t get the Man Utd move so he could play at the elite level but still a very impressive career.
Let’s not forget he refused to celebrate when he scored against us in the premiership season aswell.

Fantastic player and a big reason we went up.

Sadly 355 games in 15 years isn't an awful lot. He's had some bad, sickening injuries

Could be a future coach or manager for us. He was superb in that run. Shame we couldn’t get him for a season in the Prem.

Loved Seamus, great player. So good to see him back the year after.

£60k. When you think what Prem clubs, Everton included, have paid for some of the over hyped overpaid cross over its history.

I remember when he was on loan with us, and we were all teaching about him; some Everton fan wrote quite a long piece of analysis, which concluded with a statement basically saying he wasn't going to be good enough to stay very long with them. out at the top level.

I wish I had bookmarked it.

15 years on he's still producing.

Brilliant for us, better for Everton.

I occasionally watch the 2009/10 season dvd. More recent watchings have convinced me that Seamus was critical during that run in. In both semis and the final he was class. If Owen could have forgone half of his payout we might have got him. Oh well...

Before his move was formally announced, an Everton supporter I worked with told me we were going to get a young lad on loan who was the real deal ..... How right he was, fantastic player. Might well have stayed up had he been allowed to play with us that year, though in hindsight probably for the best sadly
