I may be wrong but was that the first time since signing that he's played centre half in a back four?

I remember when he played against us for the cods and was immense in that position so it's always baffled me why he's not played there before.

Maybe, by Goode's bad luck we could end up prospering from him being there as I personally thought he did well.
 
l might be wrong but I’m sure he played CB in a Carabao Cup game at the beginning of the 21/22 season, always baffled me too why hasn’t played there more often!
 
Probably because he is not that tall and we already compromise with Thorniley. If he was alongside Marv or Goode then fine but otherwise we would be beaten in the air all the time.

At fault for the first goal, at fault for many goals this season at right back to, bench utility man for me. Thorniley is a far better CB
 
Sometimes you find your best team / positions by accident, eg. due to unavailability / injury.
