Coral Island / Football fans.

Someone was telling me today that his friend was refused admission to Coral Island last weekend because he was wearing a Blackpool coat with the badge on. No football colours at all apparently.
Seems a bit harsh when all your wearing is a coat and your in your home town and it isnt even a matchday . Bizarre .

They used to turn away locals anyways didn’t they? Maybe that was before the casinos gamblers got out in?

Blackpool differs from other towns as we're a resort, other towns are not exactly going to get away fans in their venues so trouble isn't going to happen, It's sensible to ask people not to wear colours and therefore avoid any aggro.

Aye but a bit daft with locals. I can't really see it kicking off more than any other town (given the fact stags and hens aren't really welcome ) and surely Blackpool fans arent a target?

A bit strange that considering there's no travelling fans or admittance to stadiums now. me and my son had no problems last year. I wonder if it is just some jobsworth? It's not going to be very welcoming to away fans when we can return.
