Corbeanu is not a team player

Maybe Gaz has been given the job of mentoring him
A worry if so. Think we've all been in a workplace where there are experienced 'heads' and one might take exception to certain youngsters coming in and doing the job better than them.

I've been there myself where you're a kid trying to placate older egos. Deep down you're thinking, 'show me where the vending machine is, tell me how to claim my travel money, but I'll take your pearls of wisdom on the substantive part of the job with a pinch of salt'.

How many times did he have the ball and go for a shot when he could have laid it off to someone in a better position.

Gary Madine was going mad with him as well, trying to get him to move further up the field and pick up his headers.
Too many. Not surprised Madine was going nuts with him.
Expect a run on the bench for Theo.

How many times has everyone been moaning about "not enough shots" now we have someone with the confidence to shoot on sight and you are still moaning FFS 😂
I know right. The lad is turning defenders inside out and peppering the opposition keeper and he's getting stick because he's not passed to 'Mr Clinical'. You couldn't make it up!

He’s very one footed like Bowler was.
I watched him shooting pre match and his right foot pinged in some crackers.

His left foot attempts were woeful and unfortunately the one he screwed wife was on his left foot.
He's left-footed 😂

He's an unusual player. Capable of brilliance but doesn't seem to know what he's supposed to be doing, particularly off the ball.

I like him, but he's gonna frustrate the hell out of us. Often!

A Wolves mate said if he was an ice cream he would lick himself.🤣

If you see his Instagram account clearly managed professionally and that tells me he is anticipated for big things both on the pitch and his image off it, not too many other Canadian footballers' names spring to mind.

Someone mentions earlier in this thread he is exactly like Josh was at the start, and his decision making will improve as he develops as a player.

Thought Madine would have chinned him.if he had been close enough at one stage, but as other fans say an exciting player destined to play regularly at a higher level than the Championship.

Let's enjoy him whilst we can and make sure that in years to come when anyone mentions the Pool to him that he has nothing to remember/say but good things.

Gaz was going mad because Theo didn’t push up when the Watford back four had the ball. Didn’t see him go mad related to the attack but if you say so

Fair enough. As I've said, I didn't see it. Was going off what other posters had said happened. Just trying to stick up for the young lad, can't believe the title of this thread but I expect that was the purpose.

Madine needs to sort his own game out before mentoring anyone else’s. Theo is a rough diamond however he has the keys to unlock defenses and pace in abundance. We will need him in tight games, he is gifted, however needs to work on his end product. He is unpredictable that’s what gives him an edge and mobile, love watching him.

I did point this out several weeks ago but got a somewhat hysterical over-reaction so didn't push it. The lad is great at creating space for himself but has no idea what to do next. There's a difference between Corbeanu and Bowler - Bowler was much more developed at this stage.

Madine's exaggerated gesturing effectively forced Appleton to make the switch which ultimately won us the game. CJ showed exactly what wingers have to do, not just offensively but defensively as well where his positioning was spot on.

Corbeanu isn't a hopeless case but, for me, he's still at the stage of impact sub - like Tuesday showed - until he has a better grasp of the basics.
