Me and my little lad were in a bit of a rush yesterday and didn’t get to the ground until later than planned.
Stupidly, I left his little backpack of sweets supplies in the car, so had to get him something inside the ground.
This stupid rule of having to remove the bottle tops off drinks bought inside the ground is freakin’ ludicrous.
I was carrying his fleece, scarf and hat ( he wouldn’t wear them as it wasn‘t cold going in ) , the tickets, my phone for the proof of Covid……on top of that he got a bag of Haribos, a packet of crisps and a bottle of Fanta.
Trying to juggle a full bottle of pop without a lid is bad enough with an armful of stuff, bumping into Bloomfield Bear and attempting to also take his photo with my boy without spilling the drink was almost impossible.
Whoever is responsible for implementing that rule needs to seriously rethink it.
It may well act as a potential missile during the game, but not from row W in the family stand FFS !
