Wasnt it a song about having no ground that upset them?. I know they were planning a blood thirsty revenge mission!.Didnt we cause a bit of bother last time at St. Andrews? They always promised revenge!!!

To be honest it’s pretty poor if our fans were chanting stuff like that after the demise we went through.Wasnt it a song about having no ground that upset them?. I know they were planning a blood thirsty revenge mission!.
It’d be nice to have the chance! It is a pity we haven't sold any for Bournemouth
Yeah bit of a scuffle outside. They were in about heading towards excelsior on the return leg. Hope the armfield has enough security on.Bit of fistycuffs wasn't it? I seem to remember someone saying they will be turning up into Blackpool in their droves for revenge.
What I read from a Coventry fan was that some of the younger lads in our fan base went out the ground early and caused some trouble with their fans. His words were that a certain portion of their fan base weren't impressed by it and would be coming down in numbers for the away leg but COVID put a stop to thatWasnt it a song about having no ground that upset them?. Good for the local economy! Although families taking a break in the town might not fancy a return visit! With no overseas holidays - Many will be making the most of ther trip to the seaside, and quite a few probably staying overnight, on the ale all day (like M'Boro).
The weather isnt helping eitherGood for the local economy! Although families taking a break in the town might not fancy a return visit!
Definitely happening more often it would seem. If we get a reputation a lot of similar minded fans from other clubs will relish coming up here having a go. And this isn’t league 1 anymore. We have the likes of Stoke, Swansea, Milwall, Luton and obviously Preston who won’t sit back and just take it.They must have some youth element trying to make a name for themselves as Blackpool not a club you associate with week in week out trouble
I don’t think you can argue with that post to be honest….been building since Sadler took the club on.
Hopefully everyone can stick to the football and it’s a great game. We struggled against a very physical side on Saturday, trying to play football in a game where we failed to establish ourselves and were well beaten overall. Hopefully we’ve learned a thing or two from it, we do have quite a few good players so most of us haven’t given up hope yet!Morning lads, should be about 1800 by the time kick off comes I’d think. Everyone was really disappointed the game was moved to the Tuesday - a Saturday would have seen 3,000+. No doubt the police influenced this…
Regarding the bother at St Andrews…I think it was some of your younger lads mainly trying to target anyone after the game. It didn’t go down well as it was mainly families that travelled to Birmingham for the home games. Cov’s ‘lads’ etc didn’t bother so much. I wouldn’t expect anything tonight and maybe it played a part in the police moving the game to midweek. A Saturday game would have seen plenty travel no doubt.
Expecting a close encounter tonight. We were incredibly unlucky not to come away with something at Barnsley, played very well second half.
Blackpool have always been a club with a hooligan element IMO, not something new. They must have some youth element trying to make a name for themselves as Blackpool not a club you associate with week in week out trouble

I’ve been pretty shocked with the trouble on Bloomfield road last couple of games; can’t speak for the 70’s, but I’ve been watching Blackpool home and away for nearly 30 years and was always fairly proud of our fans behaviour. Opposition fans I spoke to were usually in agreement, I remember a big terrifying geordie bloke once saying it was because it’s hard to be angry in bright orange (I didn’t correct him!).Blackpool have always been a club with a hooligan element IMO, not something new.
So as for "Blackpool not a club you associate with week in week out trouble" from the Cov fan on there, I don't think you associate any club with that anymore. Police are so on it nowadays there is no way any club could sustain causing trouble regularly as its arrests and banning orders. If we're talking about back in the day Blackpool were one of the most prevalent clubs for football hooliganism.
They're all on there talking about how we'd of got "sorted out" on the away leg, it's all just talk on the internet. Large scale disorder is an absolute rarity in the modern era.
I think the comment referring to Blackpool not having a hooligan element came from a Blackpool fan…Blackpool have always been a club with a hooligan element IMO, not something new.

80s as well, in 1985 the BBC ranked us amongst 5 others as the worst clubs in the country for football hooliganism:I’ve been pretty shocked with the trouble on Bloomfield road last couple of games; can’t speak for the 70’s, but I’ve been watching Blackpool home and away for nearly 30 years and was always fairly proud of our fans behaviour. if we have an element now who think this is ok, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell them to clear off and find another institution to disgrace, Armfield, Morty and Matthews deserve a better legacy. That badge on your shirt stands for something and it’s not thuggery!
That’s because they have a ticket office that can cope with such sales !
