Medical Director Dr Kim Gardiner says the number of Covid patients in Blackpool hospitals has risen over the last week.

Apparently the R figure is at roughly 1.5

The Blackpool figures are quite strange.... There was a few days where cases went up massively from 18-23 May (67 new confirmed cases in 6 days), however the 3 days since (24-27th) have only seen 4 cases in total.

I think there are only three people in ICU. Maybe the bank holiday caused a bleep in numbers. It's always going to be dodgy for holiday resorts.
