Is there one today ? No mention on bbc programme guide. Or is it something else the government have axed without telling anyone ?

I believe they announced earlier in the week that they were stopping the weekend briefings apparently the viewing figures are very low. I can see it disappearing all together given how poor they have been this week with the change in format and the fact they have lost public confidence in what they brief. This week has seen a notable absence of the scientists and yesterdays briefing was Matt Hancock on his own. Me thinks the scientists have given up trying to stand behind some of the decisions now being taken by the government as they appear not to be taking the scientists advice.

Definitely cut that short today in my opinion. Lady from Hull had the Culture Secretary a little bit on the ropes there with talks of enquiries. The others wouldve jumped straight on that in my opinion. Abort!

Also I dont know if anybody else feels this way but I find it bizarre and quite uncomfortable that the topic of the entire press conference was in order to announce how wonderful the government are for getting football back for us.Get the schools open, get hospitality back to work and save millions of jobs in many other sectors before we worry about football.

So, did the latest suit full of bugger all say when the track-and-trace app would be ready? Only, Matt Hancock said it would be last month. You know, the 'world beating one' (acme).

Matt Hancock is too busy invading the social distance space in the Commons, including patting people on the back.

Another do what I say, not what I do.

Agreed. I though it was a sports report rather than a virus update.
