Covid Spreads 20 Feet Indoors

I was watching a South Korean film so thought i would check how well they are doing at fighting the virus.
Incredibly well due to measures they have put in place,

However a study conducted has shown how easily it spreads indoors.

So the 2m rule is not enough indoors.

Unfortunately indoor dining & get togethers are proven unsafe.

So perhaps any opening of indoor venues unless more space is given should not be allowed?

If it spreads 20 feet indoors we’ve only socially distanced one to two metres at work on a daily basis and that seems to have been reasonable effective.
I think if you stick to all of the important advice, hand sanitizer, face masks, 2 metre distance and NO physical contact then you will manage reasonably well.
Thing is with pubs it’s not so much being inside it’s losing a little inhibition and not quite sticking to what you must stick to.

Fair dos Lala just saying what the South Korean report found. It can & has travelled considerably more than 2 metres indoors.
I tend to agree 2m will be sufficient in most cases but not guaranteed.
Many people seem to have scant regard for the 2m or simply dont know how far 6 and a half feet is actually

It probably can travel that distance in rare circumstances, which is why we are wearing face masks in any indoor setting outside of our homes now. But if you stick to the rules it minimises the impact massively.
People just aren’t as disciplined in pubs and some indoor hospitality venues I feel.

I've said it before that face masks are a massive part of the problem. Even reading posts on here people are obsessed with who is or isn't wearing one and if they are is their nose showing etc. Since the introduction of the compulsory use of masks in shops and indoor spaces, social distancing has become a thing of the past. Infection rates increased massively although I accept the return of students to schools and universities coincided with their introduction. Wearers seem to think that the mask gives them an air of invincibility when their effectiveness remains open to debate.

Does anyone know if you can catch Covid from smelling a fart?

That's not the masks that are the problem. That's people who are thick. Masks have never been a replacement for social distancing. They are only an extra layer of protection in addition to social distancing. It's been like that all along so if people are still unable to have the brain power to understand and act on that, then quite frankly they are too thick to ever be able to help humanity to contain this disease.

Helping humanity by wearing a face nappy in Aldi. Get over yourself FFS 😂

I cant agree that masks are a massive part of the problem. they may give a false sense of security though.
People who are not responsible & dont adhere to social distancing ARE THE PROBLEM & always will be.

So if we stop wearing masks will the death rate drop below 500 a day ? Because at the moment it’s still around that figure with ridiculous amounts of new infections. The importance of wearing a mask is definitely up for debate.

Appreciate people's views on farting in supermarkets but what does the science and guidance say?

You can wear masks for too long in the workplace. They should be changed every few hours or they get saturated and make things worse.

It’s been known for a while now that whilst Covid-19 isn’t airborne, the virus can hang in the air long enough for someone to walk into an infected airspace. That’s where a mask can help.

It’s also been known for months that coughs and sneezes can spread this virus in droplets 20 metres plus. Again, a mask can help with that.

At no point have people been instructed on proper mask fitting and etiquette. There’s been no drive to push the use of high quality masks offering high protection, 4 layers of cotton, medical grade, correct sizing etc. Most are low protection, poorly fitting with gaps and can give a false sense of security.

We could have done much better imo.

True bifster but some peoples response to the seriousness of problem & I include both politicians & members of the public has imho been poor.
The individual response is a matter of individual perspective, opinion and personal priorities IMHO. I’m not sure any of us can moralise or point the finger of blame in that respect.

Your priorities are clearly determined by your own circumstances and rightly so. Other people will be no different...

True bifster but we live in a society that constantly demands answers & blame culture is a now pretty endemic.
I dont think thats good but it is what it is.,
All i can say it measures have been put in place re social distancing for good reason to save lives & some people totally disregard it.
So i think its natural to be pissed off at others, Its not like parking on a yellow line.
Spose its better to vent at some other fookers now & again rather than constantly beat yourself up. 🤣

All this year has done is amplify everyone's prejudices. If you were already a bit racist, east Lancs gets the blame, if you think the younger generation are fickle, it's their fault. If you were a stickler for the rules (most Brits), you've doubled down on that bullshit. Southerners take the piss don't they?... fill your boots.

Luckily for me, I hate everyone equally.
