I agree with the sentiment of your post Athers but I strongly believe that the EFL should not be scheduling these long distance matches for a weekday night match in winter. It risks accidents on the roads, not only to football fans either.

Totally agree it should be local ish games only midweek.
We played them at their place on a Tuesday also it's plain stupid.

I think the leagues reasoning on that one was along the lines of, hardly any fans are travelling to that away game anyway, so may as well chuck it on a Tuesdays night saves more local trips for Saturday afternoons. I can see their logic in that one if i'm honest.
