I love my cricket, but slightly out of touch seeing I am in Spain at the moment.
Can someone please explain the County Championship tables to me!!!
Not a clue where Lancashire are, top in one division, 2nd bottom in another!
Points don't tally!
HELP!
 
The County Championship is played in 2 parts this season.

In part 1 teams were divided into three groups of 6. We played the other 5 teams home and away. We finished top.

In part 2, the top 2 teams in each of the three groups form a new league. We are part of that. In this league you play 4 games. One each against the teams you haven’t already played. And you also carry forward half of the points accrued in the two games you played in part 1 against the team that qualified alongside with you (in our case the Yorkies).

The winners of the part 2 league are county championship winners. We currently stand fifth in that league.

Well explained, so I presume no relegation this season and all back to normal next season with original divisions then?
