Cricket first test

I agree but they need to remove their pathetic and totally outdated attitude.

As a member of Lancs I am allowed access to the pavilion at away games. I have enjoyed this at many grounds where the staff are always very welcoming . . the Oval in particular were excellent they allow you to bring in mates who are non members too.

When I tried to get into the pavilion at Lords the steward looked at me like a piece of shit and shook his head when I presented my membership card. It was a county game and the pavilion was nearly empty but wouldn't allow me in because I wasn't wearing a tie!!!

As I say it's a great venue but has a totally pathetic and elitist attitude.
That’s crap , no need for the steward to be like that 👎🏻

Comms just said Parky called into test team as Leach has failed a concussion test , on his way down the M6 now apparently

Well we’ve left off where we were in the West Indies.

Batting shambles, not even going to overtake N Z at this rate.

The day started ever so well, clearly the England batsmen are as shocked as we are by the news Critchley has slithered off to Villa.

9 run lead.

New Zealand won’t bat as badly as they did in the first innings.

England will. Another loss on the cards I’d say.

It’s actually enjoyable to watch when the bowlers are on top. Some of the sub continent matches are sooo dull with scores of 500+

That said, If we could at least reach 300 one day it would be a nice start

Pieterson Nailed it on commentary a minute ago. The batsman are just waiting for 5he bowlers and playing from the crease. That said when you are 60-4 on second innings it’s easier said than done to just go out and whack it about.

Nice picture of the mountains etc where my Mum was born. 😀
Never been myself, but my brother (now deceased) went in the Royal Navy many years ago.

Just had tea, N Z 139-4 so we’re already chasing down 130 another 100+ and it could well be curtains.
Some would say it’s curtains already but surely we can’t have another batting collapse like the first innings?

Don't think so. Pitch eased, players concentrating. Chasing 260 should make a good game.

Anyone else hear the Matty P saga from yesterday? He had invited the Lancs team around for a BBQ, had it lit ready and the phone went. Does he not have caller ID?

Game over. So it’s just a rain dance to do. Can’t buy a wicket now so we are reverting to short stuff.

Yer right Jaffa, NZ now 186-4😨

England need to pull themselves together now!😜

What do we think of Parky so far?

Commentators making a big deal about his slow bowl speed leaving him vulnerable to playing off the back foot

These two showing how you build an innings with a partnership. Hope our lads are taking notes.

Lead over 200 now these 2 both in the 80’s and still 6 wickets left.

Looks like Ben Stokes first match as a captain is going to end in a miserable defeat.

Thin skinned Agnew as accurate as ever at lunch.

New Zealand have lost their three more resilient batsman but there are more people who can bat to come but the people who you think might play a long innings are gone.

Regardless of what they score, isn't it refreshing to have opening batsmen without idiosyncratic, weird mannerisms. Bat coming to the ball without going round the houses.
