Critch BBC radio Lancs FA f/up

He speaks a lot of sense in that interview. One thing he missed though was the effect on travelling fans, who had probably booked trains or coaches, and will probably not be able to be reimbursed for their now no journey. Some, mainly Forest Green fans may have booked hotel accommodation, OK they can see the lights, but that is not the point.

Having written, myself, to the FA, I have received a reply informing me that the address I had sent the complaint to couldn't deal with it and giving me three other addresses rather than forwarding it on. Wonderful stuff. I have therefore now resent the letter and hope this time it reaches the person responsible. I won't hold my breath.

Every credit, but I fear they'd have been better sending you 3 Madrases. Lamb, Beef and Prawn.

“Football men” tend to focus on the effect on players, and tend to have little thought for fans in situations like this.

This is not a pop at Critchley, the whole industry is like that. They focus on the players, they treat owners as essentially the sole source of their income and say what they think is necessary for fans to hear.

There are exceptions in the industry- but not many.

You're correct.
Using Reading as an example. This week, they paid their players in full, to avoid a points deduction. Whilst the whole of the rest of the staff only received part of their salaries.
Surely if you fail to pay any member of staff, no matter who, you should face sanction.
As an aside, surely Reading supporters will attract a sanction for stopping their game on 16 mins, after making it known that it would happen.
Our club were fined for the conduct of a few supporters in the north.
FA & EFL = not fit for purpose.

FGR fans may well have been happy to take the opportunity of seeing the Lights (plural), but, with hindsight, I'm pretty sure they would have been just a little happier if some high-ranking official from the FA had also, perhaps, taken time out to actually see the light (singular) ...
