Critch IV: Not disappointed

It's not the first time I have said this but he is clearly delusional.

Just listened to his Radio B/B interview and I am livid as he should be spitting feathers yet he is making excuses.

WTF does he say to the players pre-match and half-time? as those players should have been off their heads with confidence yet they come out like they just met in the warm-up.

We were really poor today. The first half they made the pitch wide and caused us problems from the flanks. They win most duels and the majority of second balls.

The second half we definitely improved but the performance was not good and you just never felt we would score.

Another less than impressive away performance.

The inconsistency is so frustrating.

Byers has the right stuff, unfortunately he is not our player. He did his best in a very limited midfield and came up to us at the end with his hands out knowing it was a poor performance. I wonder if Norburn is even properly fit, he certainly wasn't getting round the pitch. If ever there was a day to play a third man and look to hold the midfield this was it. Instead we had three centre halves and two deep fullbacks. Thanks Critchley.

We haven’t seen and heard nearly enough angry Critch and i think it is needed. But his coaching style is never going to strike fear into underperforming players or a team. We just have to get realistic that the lads will have been told that it just wasn’t our day today and to keep at it.

That's a poor post match summary from Critchley, does himself no favours there, the interviewer wasn't great either
The interviewer’s are usually rubbish. Never ask anything which may provoke some reaction. So Neil that was a pretty poor performance today and the way you were set up was never going to trouble Wigan. Do you not think you should have changed things and really gone out for the win we need ? Would love to hear one of these yes men to ask something like that.

As Was said about Geoffrey Howe, getting a bollocking off Critchley would be like getting mauled by a dead sheep.

We couldn’t get the atmosphere going in the crowd either second half. It was just dull and their fans were non existent- about 30 of them in the corner trying and the rest of the stadium lifeless.

They nullified Dembele and forced our wing backs back to a back 5.
It either needed a switch to 4 earlier or a more gung ho attitude where we shoved Coulson and Gabriel further forward and left gaps at the back. I thought our pressing was poor too

Over 3000 Pool there today who know fcuk all about football as we were clearly watching a completely different game to the 'gaffer', his comments are the most insulting and derogatory I’ve heard in a long time. We are the paying customers and want to be entertained and if not we will let him and Sadler know as we did at the end by the amount of boos ringing around. That performance today has probably made the minds up of several hundred not to bother buying tickets for Derby away.

The man is deluded!

If he's happy with that then he can go ** himself. Lazy defending, uncreative midfield, forwards firing blanks, Norburn panicking unless he's facing his own goal, more back passes than forward (or so it seems), negative outlook from the start.
You forgot the aimless hoofs forward to our target men…Lavery and Dembele

Ooohhh, clappers, the reassuring tone of your post has made me feel so much better about events from earlier today: not!

I've not listened to his bullshit all season! The man needs to get himself a seat in the directors box and actually see the game! I get that those who've only ever seen the game from the touchline think they see the game but an introduction to the stands is always an eye opener to those open to the experience!

He may still not agree with our assessments but at least he'll actually see the game better!

Poor performances have dogged this season away rom home and Critchley either can’t see it or doesn’t know how to put it right.

Based on the last few away games but mostly today.

Marv is a good defender but passing the ball he is not Virgil van Dijk.

Norburn is simply a liability and negatively affects our play stifling attacks

Coulson had a good second half but is no wing back

Gabriel is not a defender

Dembele flatters to deceive too often.

Rhodes is either not fit or has been replaced by a lookalike

Beesley won one header/challenge today and looks out of his depth.

Grimshaw is the only person capable of passing to another Blackpool player.

If the dressing is not yet lost it’s getting pretty close.

It's very reminiscent of when we lost at Preston in a lacklustre performance and Critchley said we were the better side
