Prospective qualification for the playoffs represents no mean feat.

Nor a 16-game unbeaten run, the club's best for more than half a century.

But the poor display against lowly Dale renewed doubts over the head coach.

Another modest opponent denied points to sterile promotion chasers.

Points that could make the difference between going up and going nowhere.

It also raised questions about his assistants and some players.

Among the latter, Kaikai, in particular, shows inconsistency amid stalemate.

But, like Jose Mourinho, note tutors' unwillingness to share the blame.

The coaches share responsibility for:

*a pre and whole season inability to sign a creator who can split defences..
*unpenetrating resultant tiptap passes.
*persistent resort to desperate route one tactics when no chances emerge.
*inexplicible late substitutions that, made earlier, might have succeeded.

Six defeats in the first nine games exposed slowness to forge cohesion.

Injuries mitigate failure, while external analysis might lessen their occurrence.

Elevation to the Championship would raise transfer hopes for reliability.

Disappointment could see key squad members leave for higher status.

Either way, signings to redress shortcomings must bridge the gap.

Ambition demands progress that lights a path back to the Premier League.

I don’t slag people on here, but I will make an exception once.....

You really are a Muppet

O/P, I think we should remember that this NCs first role as a Head Coach/Manager.
Most of the players are new to BFC and are getting to know how their team mates think and play.
To write NC off if we don't get promoted is poor thinking.
At least 2 seasons is necessary before even thinking of writing him off.
Added to which is that this season has not been normal for anyone.

I like Paulco. I’m starting to get a man crush on him and might try for a sneaky liaison behind the back of my missus?
I’m thinking he’s a proper gym bunny, ripped - yet able to down ten pints and a curry snd still perform.

Theres some fair points in that but Kaikai is the one player who has creativity. Give him a break.
