Critchley’s Thoughts

"It might not be how you want it to look in the first 20 minutes, but if we keep at it then you can see what happened in the second half where we had complete control and dominated the game.”

"We just missed the final bit in and around the goal.”

"I’m not disappointed with the performance, just frustrated with the result.”

Not really what you want to hear, performance wasn’t good at all.

We’ll see how we do against a similar team in Leyton Orient on Saturday, Critchley does deserve the benefit of the doubt IMO.

I never really read anything into what they say after games. He could have just come out after bollocking them and telling them they should be ashamed but he'd back them to the press and say they were OK.

What? Like he did after Exeter and sets the team up exactly the same v Vale and no doubt will v Orient.

I know this is going to sound totally mad to many of you, but I honestly think that deep down Critch knows he hasn't got what it takes as a manager. So he plays ultra safe
Don't forget, he quit management (not just Blackpool) to go back to being a coach.
villa didn't exactly set the world alight with their attacking play either.
And his experience at QPR wouldn't have boosted his confidence.
I'm not anti critch, I just think these are his limitations, we should accept them.
