We are only attack minded and aggressive once we are at least two goals down.I like Critch and think he's a good coach but he's hardly a maverick in converting a winger to a full back. It's been going on for years and years in the transition from youth to professional game.
Im hoping this aggressive attack minded approach starts to click soon as so far I'm not seeing it either with or without the ball as too often we are far too passive and slow. Whether that's by instruction or the players not being confident enough to go all in I don't know.
That being said Gabriel and Joseph will make a big difference and I still think he wants another CM and I think we need one too.
You are 100% correct. Was so frustrating seeing us 2 down to Reading, Charlton, Stevenage, Cheltenham etc…..We are only attack minded and aggressive once we are at least two goals down.
I'll see your Reading, Charlton, Stevenage and Cheltenham and raise you Peterborough, Fleetwood, Derby, Lincoln and Wycombe. You are 100% correct. Was so frustrating seeing us 2 down to Reading, Charlton, Stevenage, Cheltenham etc…..
Apart from at Bromley? We are only attack minded and aggressive once we are at least two goals down.
Be careful the FA are watching.Puff piece on youth team coaching. Where the pressure is off.
Come off it Wiz, Bromley?Apart from at Bromley?
2 0 up as I recall?Come off it Wiz, Bromley?
Sorry Wiz Bromley doesn’t count…2 0 up as I recall?
Reading and Cheltenham are the two worst sides in the division. Charlton was a positive first half performance, no issues with that but hardly aggressive. Stevenage was decent. Overriding point is that overall he is far too conservative before the game or overly protective once we have the lead. We are clearly in opposing camps here FY, let’s hope your right and it all comes good. You are 100% correct. Was so frustrating seeing us 2 down to Reading, Charlton, Stevenage, Cheltenham etc…..
I genuinely think with some big Championship clubs coming down next season, Wrexham and Stockport coming up, Wigan and Charlton coming good and there'll still be 3/4 decent League One sides who don't go up this season, as the years go by the challenge gets stronger. He is a really good coach . He will take us back to the Championship within the next couple of years im pretty sure of that.
Im not sure about this genius stuff though. We've been promoted before without genius managers.
It’s never going to be easy but I agree that this season should/could be our best chance as apart from Peterborough I’ve seen no one that impressive.I genuinely think with some big Championship clubs coming down next season, Wrexham and Stockport coming up, Wigan and Charlton coming good and there'll still be 3/4 decent League One sides who don't go up this season, as the years go by the challenge gets stronger.
Ha touché. Hot and cold, no consistency. Even I wouldn’t argue with that assessment.I'll see your Reading, Charlton, Stevenage and Cheltenham and raise you Peterborough, Fleetwood, Derby, Lincoln and Wycombe.
Some fans have been saying the same thing (whichever league we’ve been in) for the last 4 decades that I’m aware of.I genuinely think with some big Championship clubs coming down next season, Wrexham and Stockport coming up, Wigan and Charlton coming good and there'll still be 3/4 decent League One sides who don't go up this season, as the years go by the challenge gets stronger.
We should be stronger next year . Recruitment this year has been good and the new man had only been with us a matter of weeks. Some fans have been saying the same thing (whichever league we’ve been in) for the last 4 decades that I’m aware of.
Reality of the matter is that it will be no different next year.
So loaning players out isn’t a widely used and highly successful way of developing young players then ?Brad Holmes, Rob Apter, Jack Moore.. Just 3 young players who Critchley “could develop” but has chosen to send on loan, repeatedly.
If and when he can be arsed, it seems. But don’t let that take your eyes off him being the best manager ever, people.
I just don’t understand why an article which states he worked, solely, with x amount of players who have turned into good professional footballers has got people saying it’s helping him at Blackpool? We haven’t brought any players through in the last 3 years . Not that have played a substantial number of games anyway. So loaning players out isn’t a widely used and highly successful way of developing young players then ?
Maybe we should leave the player development to the Genius
I think it might take a bit longer than 3 years to star seeing the fruits of a youth and development policy.I just don’t understand why an article which states he worked, solely, with x amount of players who have turned into good professional footballers has got people saying it’s helping him at Blackpool? Weeks, really. We should be stronger next year . Recruitment this year has been good and the new man had only been with us a matter of weeks.
