Critchley is some of the best qualifications.

That doesn’t mean you will be a good coach or manager.

It’s too early to make any call on his role or how they season will develop.

Needless to say the early league performances are disturbing.

- one win in 5
- only scored in one game
- only conceded in one game

We need to give him time and reassess after 15 + games.

Yes spot on, he might have all the quals and understand the theory side however it doesn’t make you a good manager / coach. You have to be a motivator and a good man manager something they can’t teach you.

FFS!
Give him time
Let's reassess after 10/15 games
Squad needs to gel
Early days
Judge me in May (to quote a former custodian)
Etc, etc, etc.

We've had more time during pre-season to assemble a group of players to be a force in League 1 than in previous years.
The worrying thing for me is that one of the most qualified coaches in the Universe doesn't appear to have a Plan B, is unwilling to revise his tactical approach, lacks creativity and (hope I'm wrong here) seems to have his favourites, some of whom are obviously not good enough.

I'm aware he must show faith in his players on air, but he insists we were strong at the start of each half, could have scored at least one (whooped!!) and were pressing until the second penalty which " killed the game".

I don't have as many badges as Mr. Critchley, but, as one who's already spent hundreds watching dross this season, believe I'm entitled to suggest we've been as consistently poor thus far this campaign as I've seen us in many a year. The game was dead before we kicked off!

Not suggesting we sack him, as he's proved he could, at one point, lead a club out of this division, but he needs help, support and advice from someone who might be able to put the theory into practice, both on and off the field.
