If there is any chance of him staying, I’m sure he will want some kind of guarantee.
 
We don’t know what the relationship is between the two.

Depends if Critch is appointed if they have a chat to air things out.

Critch would be mental not to have Yates as the main man in the team and to leave him out this upcoming season.

I do think it’s likely Yates will be sold in the summer however.
 
Regardless of the fact yates is gone no matter who appoint, maybe critch coming back could help persuade him to stay a season, after all it was under critch when he thrived in league 1 for us and scored 20+

Did he thrive because of Critchley or Simms?
 
Critchley put a lot of faith in him in League One to be fair. Not sure what Jerry's opinion of him might be after he didn't give him much of a sniff in the Championship.

He might be off regardless of who we appointed anyway.
 
Jerry will be gone regardless of NCs appointment, championship clubs are after him, it’s just a question of how much the club is prepared to let him go for. We can only hope that none of them come up with an acceptable offer.
 
Yates will probs go. However I am sure two adults will wipe the slate clean and go again.

Yates would have also changed over the last year I’m sure. It’s football you have to wipe the slate clean.
 
First thing I'd do if I were Critchley is sit down with Jerry, see where his head is at and then build from there.
If he wants to go then let's make it happen quickly so unlike with Bowler we have the money ready to spend.
