Can see how that one started... Chinese whispers.
What music do you like?
Dance, maybe a bit of hip hop.
Overheard by someone near by...
Joseph needs a hip op.
Who was it that started the rumour about the hip injury and who then confirmed the same came from within the club. Why do they do this?
Fractured hip I've just been told by someone ITK.
However I don't blame people for passing on something they heard, but clearly not right and makes you wonder where it all comes from, misunderstandings, Chinese whispers or something more sinister...Yep, I heard the same 2 days ago from someone inside the squad
We do have a poor track record for injuries tho don’t we, last season we had so many I was wondering if we actually had a physioJust thought it's worth its own thread so people can stop with the bullshit now. Said he joined the club with an injury they knew about which he picked up first week of pre season with Swansea, but should be back training in the next couple of weeks!
Hope they reattached it the right way round.Glad that the serious injury was a load of Bollux. Club must be fed up with having to give out statements to dispel rumours.
P. S heard Brad's head fell off but was successfully reattached with fishing line
Doesnt look too bad.Just been sent a pciture from someone ITK of Joseph in rehabilitation. Might be bollocks but thought it should be passed on.

We are short of someone who can play with his back to goal.Hope they reattached it the right way round.
Then put a green light in the sky and announce on Twitter that he's been abducted by aliens and will actually be out til Xmas.Perfect spin by the club.
Sign an injured player.
Let a club employee tell someone on AVFTT that he’s broken his hip.
Announce he had a minor injury when he signed and will be back in a week or two.
Everyone breathes a sigh of relief rather than moan about another crocked player.
Job done .
I'd heard it was staples and sellotape?Glad that the serious injury was a load of Bollux. Club must be fed up with having to give out statements to dispel rumours.

You are starting false rumours it was definitely fishing line 4lb breaking strainI'd heard it was staples and sellotape?
How difficult was that from the Club?
I didn't even know we'd signed another crock!Just thought it's worth its own thread so people can stop with the bullshit now. Said he joined the club with an injury they knew about which he picked up first week of pre season with Swansea, but should be back training in the next couple of weeks!
I think you're missing the point. It's not about the rumour. Why couldn't they give a general update before and hey presto, no false rumours! Not difficult at all.
Rumour first posted Monday lunchtime.
Addressed and answered Tuesday night, at Critchley's next anticipated interview.
No panicked response, handled just fine.
no it didnt fall off just split open a bit and quite a bit of sawdust was spilled out.. But its ok as they have been to Chadwicks first thing this morning and picked up a bag of sawdust from the sawmill re packed ready to goGlad that the serious injury was a load of Bollux. When he signed there was an interview with the player on the OS and a write up. That could have included 'the lad has a knock at present, but it's nothing to worry about and he should be in training early August'.This is where we're missing a Gazette reporter.
They would normally ask the manager about transfer plans and injury updates - regular topics for them.
The club's media has been focused on PR (the Irish camp/Radio Lancs interviews), pre season training and friendlies.
But I take your point. The Joseph rumour would have been avoided altogether if they'd said he was a couple of weeks away from training when he signed (although that would have got the downbeats on here frothing about signing a crock).
Could you imagine the response from some of the bed wetters if they'd added a comment about him signing with a slight knock? The club are damned if they do, damned if they don't.When he signed there was an interview with the player on the OS and a write up. Pre-season is all about how the players are fitness wise and fans should be updated on the various bits and bobs. It's not as if it's the eve of a promotion decider or and sensitive time.
It's how they say it. There are ways and the science bit is they don't even take much thought.Could you imagine the response from some of the bed wetters if they'd added a comment about him signing with a slight knock? The club are damned if they do, damned if they don't.
Yep. Hopefully the Chris Martin was is still a goer.Even with a fit Joseph we are still a goal scorerdown from last season, so why this obsession with signing yet another midfielder, when surely it is a target man we require!
Looks like he's doing alright, when Critch said back on the grass, clearly he meant a different type of grass for the pain relief.Just been sent a pciture from someone ITK of Joseph in rehabilitation. Might be bollocks but thought it should be passed on.

Or do they react to every "rumour"? Nah was handled perfectly, they don't have to bow down to every single persons demands.I think you're missing the point. It's not about the rumour. Why couldn't they give a general update before and hey presto, no false rumours!
There are no rumours if they gave simple updates on how pre-season is going.Or do they react to every "rumour"? Nah was handled perfectly, they don't have to bow down to every single persons demands.
Perhaps he didn't have a twisted sock, a cubic foot or a a ruptured jockstrap whilst on loan?A quick google search reveals he played 41 games last season whilst on loan at Oxford…
So hopefully not another injury prone duffer…

So…. We don’t get one from Accie who then scores tons for Portsmouth but we get someone who’s actuLly injured?Just thought it's worth its own thread so people can stop with the bullshit now. He was injured for 2 months (Nov, Dec) but came back n scored on his return last season. Not sure of those 41 games how many minutes he actually played tho, used him a fair bit as an impact player tbh.A quick google search reveals he played 41 games last season whilst on loan at Oxford…

Was he decent ?? What’s his work rate / finishing like ??He was injured for 2 months (Nov, Dec) but came back n scored on his return last season. Not sure of those 41 games how many minutes he actually played tho, used him a fair bit as an impact player tbh.
Work rate is top. Finishing is a bit raw - as you normally expect from someone of that age mate. Scored some decent goals, but if I could be bothered, share a lowlight reel of misses too. All in all, he's a strong prospect IMO, not a Yates replacement currently. Was he decent ?? What’s his work rate / finishing like ??

We sometimes forget about age and write these players off before giving them a chance Iv seen a few comments on here which baffles me sometimes as we don’t really see much of our youth playing !! Good luck to the lad and hope he picks up a bit more Experiance to enable him to kick on with usWork rate is top. Finishing is a bit raw - as you normally expect from someone of that age mate.
