Critchley - Joseph update

It's good to know that Joseph is on his way back to fitness, but it doesn't change the need for a striker, and Joseph's absence re-enforces that need. Not sure if the Club have any irons in the fire - Sam Nombe from Exeter has been mentioned, but Charlton have made a bid for him, although it's been rejected.

It would be quite worrying if nothing happens in the next week, as that's the one area of the pitch where we look light. It would be a big shame if strength in midfield and at the back is negated by a lack of goals up-front.

He was injured for 2 months (Nov, Dec) but came back n scored on his return last season. Not sure of those 41 games how many minutes he actually played tho, used him a fair bit as an impact player tbh.
He started 31 out of the 37 he played in the league. Missed 7 through injury. Guess he missed the first 2 as he signed after they were played

I agree, we still need more but I wouldn't mistake no news as we aren't looking. It's clear we are but conduct our business quietly and professionally. I have zero doubt that we will see new faces soon but also feel we probably need to see a couple move out. As always, it'll be an interesting few weeks ahead of the deadline. I wouldn't 100% rule out Moxon, if that extension isn't agreed, the money men at Carlisle will get twitchy knowing he could sign a pre-contract in January and walk for nothing.

I just cannot see why we need Moxon. We are well off in midfield. Our pressing need is a striker, and if we have any money to spend, it should be spent in that department!

Sounds like Joseph might even be involved today going off what Critch said in his pre-match interview with BBC Lancs.
