Critchley Out

This is unbelievable, chill, was a slow starter in last promotion, only difference is we look alot more stable. Our problem is we need goals, however this can be built on, would be much more concerned of it was the other way like last year, we will still win the league
The past has fuck all to do with this season, we have been absolutely garbage since half time in the Burton game, can't count Derby as it was our reserves.

We are told Critchley was the outstanding candidate? Ok he got us promoted just scraped through the playoffs, then he went to Villa and Stevie G seem to hint the coaching was the problem and Neil got sacked, then he went to QPR and got sacked again. I’m at a loss to see how he could be the outstanding candidate with that record. Having said that we will have to stick with it and hope somehow we sign a real goalscorer like Jerry who scored again today.

He's going to have to prove he's good enough to change things up when it's not working. Today would've been a decent time to start maybe. But instead he sat and watched a pathetic display.

We don't know who else applied, we aren't exactly an attractive club for managers are we?

It's been a few games? Critchley got us promoted and kept us in the Championship. If it's still like this after 20 games then you can get back to me.
See my response to bend it, Simon Grayson got us out of this division and in the Championship, second time round he was as poor as Critchley.

I wasn't at the match, but the BBC stats suggest we had 14 attempts on goal and 5 on target, plus hit the post. Put a couple of those away and the mood would improve. It has been obvious from the start of the season that we are lightweight in numbers and quality up front. Adding midfielders ain't going to do that. So we need to do that quickly and with people that can actually score / finish

He is effectively a new manager at Blackpool, he has had 5 matches and is unbeaten, it's not great, but give him time.

Critchley got us up last time , and I remember we started slowly , this time our defence looks solid , we just need to get the striker in Probably a big type striker , and a left footed wing back , CJ better more advanced on wing or in a 3 up top
yes football slow , also not making enough chances , we need player with some style can open up defences

just patiences needed

To be fair to Sadler, things had gone badly wrong and Critchley is a known quantity and has done well with us before, I can see why he'd pick Critchley.

As far as the team goes, we don't look very good which is disappointing, we definitely need some more quality to come in. However, we are still unbeaten and still haven't conceded, we're doing well defensively so that's a positive.

It's uninspiring but there's no panic from me (yet), I still expect us to be in the mix.

“Who knows what he’s doing”

He got us promoted out of this league not that long ago you fickle fool.

Do you not think NC is aware we need better and is working with what we have?

Those calling for his head are embarrassing. Stop putting too much emotion into Dobbie yes he did a good job but there was a lot of angry and frustrated players after two shit managers who were playing for their futures (mainly elsewhere!).

I bet those of you slagging him off are the same fools who were calling for his name after ten games last time when we had a completely new team and expected instant success.

Yes the last few games have been dire but let’s not forget the previous dinosaurs we were lumbered with. Dobs may have done a cracking job, if given the chance, but then again he might not. There would have no doubt been calls for his head. It’s a tough tough gig management especially in this business. Easy to manage from the stand. Critchley got us out of this league before and could well do so again. We shall see of course, but booing the team? What’s that all about? Free country, each to their own, but not for me. UTMP 🍊

For all Critchley's coaching badges all we seem to do is ** it forward, we seemed to be recruiting a decent midfield, for some reason we bypass them all game.

Exactly. We give Marvin Maldini (not!) the ball to entertain the home fans as to how he's going to gift a goal scoring chance. Then hoof it over the midfield and guess if it's going to go for a goalkick or get headed back and we are defending again. The back 5 and Norburn make 6 (7 if you count Grimmy) all playing it ultra defensive so "erm" Critchley can boast we've not conceded against the divisions dross yet.

Really we ended the day with one more point than we started and 3 pts behind top spot rather than 4.Not one for stats but we had 5 shots on target to their 2 and 8 corners to their 1 which reflects the balance of play. Performances could be better but have patience they will come, it's a long season, see how we are when we roll out of Horwich in November with the 3 points
