Things have got so bad we aren't in any position to have ego or long memories about this. If he's the best man available (and pound for pound he probably is) then go and get him, tonight.

L1 it is and 4 months until the season starts - let's crack on.

We better get him as apparently there are no other managers anywhere else in the world available other than ones we've already had.

Serious question: who out there is realistic and is better? As far as I see it'd be a shortlist of:

Leam Richardson
Karl Robinson
Cowleys

All of whom don't have the coaching CV of NC.

Who else will come in L1 and current shambles? Even Wellens I'd say now is out of reach.

Cowleys have promotions on their cv.

Richardson has promotion on his cv.

Same as quitchley

A definite NO to Judas Critchley (who left us in the sh*t by doing an unexpected runner) or any other past, 'has been' manager.
Will the list of interested potential managers reduce now they've seen the dire decision making capabilities of our board?
They capped off their pathetic season, with their brain wave of undermining MMc when they facilitated the supporters (well intended) kangaroo court on Monday & Wednesday.

So you think Leam Richardson's stock is as high as Neil Critchley in British football? I'd probably rather not go back (since it hasn't exactly worked for us) but we're at an all time low, given we now don't have O's in charge.

Stupid idea.

Was Grayson good enough?
How about Appleton?

Need new coach, different vision and a fresh start. Daryll Clarke is the man.

You lads need to take a reality check. We were in the clag long before MM arrived. How many games had we gone without a win ? I’d lost count ! Our squad, with nine men usually unavailable, just wasn’t strong enough to cope.

Let’s forget the merry go round of British managers who sparkle for a time and then fade. Either go for the untried up and coming coach as we did with Critchley, or look abroad

............and not good enough!

If it wasn’t for bitchley walking out before the season started we wouldn’t have had this sh!t show of a season, and fans want him back !!!

............I’m surprised no-one has mentioned the Riga Revolution........
The best manager we never had..........😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think he’s a road sweeper nowadays.

Brian Barry-Murphy? We were linked with him before as he was known for playing great football at Rochdale. He is now manager of Man City Under 21's. You would think he would would be aware of a lot of good young players at all the academies. Many will be out of contract in the summer. That's how we acquired Bowler and Grimshaw and is the model that we need to get back to.

I think we should see if we can nick a young up and coming coach from the Dutch league, one who buys into “The Project “ and who will see it through !

Wouldn’t be critchley, he was clueless toward the end of the season, couldn’t have got it more wrong at pne away, wrong subs etc etc
Found out at qpr aswell, and you’d take him back ??

One season in Lg1 and we went like 20 unbeaten. Again - let’s hear the other options!

Clarke has impressed me but would he take it?

Scott brown has also done well but again - is he taking it / are we paying the compensation?

I’m not sure why Darryl Clarke would want to leave a well run club like Port Vale to come to this shit show.

Rumour was, one of the reasons Quitchley went was because of budget restrictions, which turned out to be not far off the mark. So who says he’d want the gig, even if it was offered?
