Critchley's fate

A bit like a butterfly becoming majestic from a caterpillar, there has to be time for it to blossom and I don't think Critch spent enough time with us to perfect that. More a maggot these days who'll get found out!

Absolute classic Knobber chat -- they'd love to see Critchley at Deepdale:

I don’t think they are going to ditch Lowe anytime soon but if they did I could see Crichley being interested.

Fuck me, that'd be like throwing petrol on a bonfire.

Be some hostile atmosphere for Critchley at Bloomfield Road if that were to happen.

Cannot see Critchley going for a number 1 position, he will earn good money lurking in the shadows as the 💩( or number 2) he really is.

Was critchleave actually a number 2…? I thought he was one of several back room staff..? Don’t think he likes being in the hot seat myself..there again who cares….🤣

I had the impression he was out of his comfort zone as a manager and the higher social media profile that goes with that role. Can't say I blame him for that necessarily as it's not for the faint hearted. I'll be interested to see if he does have another shot at it somewhere else though...it won't be easy for him to build up the same relationship with the fans as he had here.

He definitely isn't comfortable with the media attention a Head Coach gets. His comments after the Forest game on Sky were embarrassing. If he were to go to a No 1 role, I think it would be in the lower leagues out of the spotlight. That said, the most likely job for him would be a No 2 role or lower.

The fact that he was sacked alongside Gerrard, and an unknown was in the hot seat for the Brentford game should answer that question.

Sorry but a bit of a classless thread this . Football wise we got lucky with Critch, very lucky.
Look at Charlton, Ipswich , Peterboro etc It's chuffin hard to get out of the First Div. Against all the odds , we/ he did it .
He left and did so in an utterly crass manner . But to harp on about it and wish him much failure is, in my humble opinion , classless.
Blackpool are on the cusp of being on the move again. In an upwards direction. Let's focus on that and back The APPLE 🍎😁

Was thinking this yesterday, how fortunate we were to get out of league one when we did. I think we would find it a lot more of a challenge now with the teams there.
