"We’ve lost a few bodies so we can’t afford many more injuries, so we have to be sensible with what we’re doing. It’ll give us a chance to reinforce some of our principles of how we want to play, and what we think will be important for the next seven games because we won’t get too much spare time once it starts up again, we have to use the time wisely. We’ve got a shout and we’re fighting.

"We’d rather keep playing and stay in rhythm at this stage of the season, but it is what it is; it’ll help us to prepare for the run-in.

"We will need to get the balance right between rest and keeping the players mentally in tune with what’s to come, and that’s the work we do on the training pitch every day, being focussed on the last seven games. We’ve already spoken about it as staff, we’ll make sure we’re focussed and the players know they’re not just coming in to pass time. We won’t be having a five-a-side then going home, we’ll be working on different areas of our game.”

"I'll also be rearranging my sock drawer which will arguably be more entertaining than the football I've been producing each week whilst desperately searching for the remaining photos that Callum Connolly has of me. So far I've retrieved the ones with the donkey and the girl in the striped dress, just need to find the one of me and Gerrard when I developed lock jaw!"

A trip to Oak Furnitureland with Janine and a run out in the Kia 👍
Followed by slow throw in practice and preparing the back 7 to match up against the threat of Derby and Wycombe.

Hmmm - sorry gaffer, I'm afraid you've rather thrown me there. I mean, when you say; "stay in rhythm at this stage of the season", I'd love for you to give us all a quick low-down on the so-called signs to look out for as supposed evidence of the 'rhythm' you mention in your post. Any examples you can provide us with of the existence of this strange phenomenon would be most gratefully.

I think he will be popping down to B&Q to look at different shades of beige to liven up his frontroom. Then a bit of pottering about in the garden and maybe a trip to Aldi to peruse the centre isle offerings. If he is feeling adventurous maybe a wee lesuirely stroll in the afternoon.

I've heard that Mrs Critchley wants the front and back lawn having their first cut of the year. The Mondeo also needs a service and a post winter waxing.

Ludicrous, pathetic and virtually abusive original post. Have you met my ignore button (Here's a clue, since you clearly haven't got one, you've met it now)

Presume Critch was at Northampton? Wonder what he'll have learned about Derby?
They set up as a 3-4-1-2 as well .. so could be a really dull game!

"stay in rhythm" jumped out at me as well 😳.
How rhythmic were we at Wigan.
Wonder what his CD 💿 collection consists of.
