I totally agree with him on this and do sympathise.
I just hope plans are in place and they have earmarked at least two fresh bodies for next season.

"We’ve struggled for consistency at the top end of the pitch. We’ve scored goals at home but haven’t had a settled forward line or have been able to change- which makes a difference.”

Critch has signed all the forwards himself, he is fully aware of Lavery being injury-prone for example. He really should have got another player in the January window, the team is reliant on Dembele, and an injury to him now and I am afraid the season is over as far as promotion.

It depends how much the manager is involved in specific targets, we have people who do that now, it's come a long way from Holloway scouring DVDs on a pre season tour. Presumably he has final say but beggars can't be choosers sometimes.

If he thinks the issue is with our strikers, I'm concerned. The delivery from our wingbacks and central midfield has been poor, away from home. If we didn't just continually lump the ball long and actually tried to play through teams, I fancy our strikers would get more chances.

Yet our knowledgeable supporters are screaming 'Get it forward' every time a pass isn't straight up the pitch..

'He really should have got another player in the January window ...'

But, sorry, for all his tactical acumen (allegedly), it seems 'foresight' has no part to play in his somewhat 'skewed' football knowledge base. Just sayin'...

Critchley needs to get on the iPad and analyse our shot per game ratio under the present system and compare to the XG of other teams playing different systems
Whilst Rhodes has had a period on the side lines we have poor results with him and all the other strikers in at various points
We are where we are because he and his assistants have spent all season obsessing over possession stats rather than focusing on what's important - hitting ' the onion bag '

We've struggled for consistency in our performances in general, majority of the time away from home we look woeful in every department - not just the top end of the pitch. The midfield can barely make 6 yard passes, the defence leak goals.

Oh we have some that don't like sideways and backwards passing. It's more playing without purpose I have an issue with. Sideways, sideways, backwards, lump it!

I think he should understand that to win games you not only have to actually score, you have to score more than them. Playing the possession game and hoping for a lucky goal will rarely work.

You do know we're one of the top 6 scorers in the division? Lucky goal?

Yet we've scored more than Stevenage and Oxford, our nearest targets.

Aye. 56 goals. Think we are only 6 behind the leaders. Our issue is goals against. We’ve already surpassed our total from 2021 (36) with 10 games left

Failure to use all the Bowler and Yates cash for better players brings inconsistency.

It follows the unwillingness or inability to invest enough on Championship quality signings.

Even amid improbable promotion, this problem threatens immediate relegation.

Sadler must raise his stake, or find a second owner to fund second tier class.

Otherwise the squad can only hope to yoyo between divisions two and three.

Dale made his debut, scored a cracker, set up a 2nd and got MOM
Koussi made his debut, scored a cracker and got MOM
Dembelle made his debut and look to have real potential

What did they all have in common?

Critch immediately benched them..

If you can't play a team to their strengths, whats the point of showing up? Your merely destroying your own players confidence, and no-one has destroyed confidence more times this season than the Tinkerman..
