Five men and one woman are under police investigation for arson. I am willing to bet they include Mr & Mrs Owner.

The wheels of justice grind exceedingly slowly. Which is probably why South Staffs Council has issued an enforcement order with a three-year compliance deadline for the pub to be rebuilt.

That should focus their minds. Better than prison to my mind. Hit them where it hurts - in the pocket. They will, of course, appeal.

The Punch Bowl pub in the Ribble Valley was mysteriously demolished after planning consent for caravan pitches was refused. The owners have been told by the council to rebuild it as it was before. Good for them. Same rules apply to the Crooked House.

Me too lived and brought up in the black country , moved away late 20s to the gold coast, used to be a Sunday ride out with my uncle and aunt who lived in Willenhall i lived in Bilston like your comment about builders 🤣.
 
The FY8 mini bus used to stop here so I've been a few times. There is no way it will be passed by planning regulations now.
