It's Croke Park, an amazing stadium in Dublin on match days. Go there if you get a chance.

Britain GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) ia coming up to 100 years of age so nothing new about it. It's the only Provincial Council of the GAA outside of Ireland. The Provincial Council of Britain is made up of seven "counties": Scotland, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Warwickshire, Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire and London with 87 member clubs. Britain GAA is responsible for Gaelic Football and Hurling which are played in primary and secondary schools as well as in universities throughout Britain. Each County has a dedicated CDA promoting games in Schools, Universities and working with underage Clubs.. The Gaelic Games Council of Britain (GGCB) is the governing body for Gaelic Games in Britain.

Croke Park is, by capacity at 82,000 the fourth largest sports stadium in Europe after Real Madrid, Barcelona and Wembley. As both the Spanish stadiums are currently undergoing reconstruction it might be even be the second largest being currently used.

There probably won’t be many at Lancashire’s game today (it’s a final for the lowest ranked hurling teams, who tend to be in based in counties where Gaelic Football is by far the bigger sport) but to play at Croke Park is still a great achievement.

Back in the day, and this day is in the 1940s, my mum played there when it was also used by club teams. I have an All Ireland final medal from when she played in a Dublin team of that period.
