Thought he was outstanding today , defensively and providing great set pieces
If he wants to play as a wing back at a higher level, there's a lot of work to be done on the defensive side of his game but you may be right, we may have found his perfect position within our current formation!Just to add - that defensive header at the back post from one of their crosses was class. Has he found his perfect position as a wing back?
Yes that was particularly excellent!Just to add - that defensive header at the back post from one of their crosses was class. Has he found his perfect position as a wing back?
Batman and Robin.Him and CJ seemed to be some of the better performers, defensively we did well on the ball we didn't really.
Likewise. Remember him and Carey putting on a cameo when they played together a season or so ago - looked class. But like you say Dale's work ethic was questionable. Today though, and what I saw last Saturday he looks proper committed and some of his challenges today had me applauding. Dont wanna get to excited but he does look the business in his current position. They are both set up as wingers prepared to track back as opposed to true wing backs. Dale was my ‘undecided’ player.
When I posted that I said I could not doubt his talent (remember they debut when he turned the game) but I doubted his work ethic and fitness levels.
I know he’s working hard on his upper body strength as he’s at my favourite iron lifting house in Warrington (with Jensen Weir too) and last two games he’s really shown a willingness to graft.
I don’t even mind him burning out at 60 mins and coming off as long as he keeps this up. With that level of effort I would not be undecided.
