Finnigan is injured ain't he? We've just sent Sassi out on loan.

Think they were both "for the future" signings to be honest.
 
These are two promising players the type we want and need, Finnigan will make his debut before the season ends, after tonight it might come sooner than later !
 
You've got to love these threads, where some make similar mistakes to writing some other players off after a few performances when they aren't fit.

The dev squad was always going to take time, then we had it slowed down by covid, disrupted by the big changes in big positions at the club and also relegation.

It also takes time to get a conveyor belt going. There's always that period at the start where you're building it up, getting the pieces in place, the right people to devel players etc and we have improved at recruitment as we've gone on, also waiting for some to progress.

Once you have players at various stages you'll then see the rewards, like we will with Rob Apter and then more in the pipeline will likely follow.

On something like this you need a longer term vision and mentality.
 
Sassi was an unused for Rochdale last night. He is not getting much game time at all and would have been better off back here playing for the reserves/development squad!
