I’ll never admire your “Historic Club” ever again not that I ever did much with you & your “Inter -Glasgow Sectarian Shit”.

This is England, we don’t want your shit down here…..Celtic fans (The Majority) were nothing short of a disgrace at the National Anthem today.

Oh and by the way, any Rangers fans, thinking they can capitalise on this post, you can keep your your “sectarian-shit”north of the border too.

Football has no place for “sectarian-hatred” to many have died down the years from all aspects of this stupidity.

The sectarian nonsense disfigures Glasgow. It belongs in the 17th century, not a modern, tolerant society.

An Irish footy team playing in the British league. Maybe they need to fuck off to Ireland, where chanting about dead Prime Ministers and hating the Monarchy is a way of life.
 
It all boils down to basic common decency for me, but unfortunately people can’t hold back. I think the first time I experienced it was when Thatcher died… Even on here I thought people crossed a line of decency, but clearly strong political differences can give rise to a sense of justification.

The Monarchy is a divisive issue and whilst some hold it in high regard, others look at that system with complete disdain. Both opinions are valid.

In Scotland the situation is magnified and the sectarian nonsense (from both sides) is equally abhorrent and disrespectful towards the things each other hold dear.

In fairness to the Liverpool Fans, it seemed ti be a very small number that disrupted the silence.

To be honest it all gets far more attention than it probably deserves.

I agree, would you hold the same views on the racist running battled between Muslims and Hindus in Leicester at the moment. Or are we allowed to discuss this ?

The presumption in your question does you no favours. The Leicester situation stems from the same ethnic intolerance and is a perfectly legitimate subject for discussion. This thread, however, relates to the situation in Glasgow, as evidenced by Celtic fans' reaction to the minute's silence for the Queen.

Yes buts it’s about a religious divide, why does it do me no favours ? I tried to discuss the problems that the police face I. Trying to quell the violence but it was deleted due to racism, why can we not have a big boy discussion about the same problem with a different set of religious bigotry. It does you and the mods no favours to constantly turn a blind eye. Intolerance is intolerance no matter the faith.
