Deflecting the problem

Fine margins - their deflection in the first bit of action goes wide, ours goes in. What I can’t understand is having been done against Charlton why Eki stuck out his leg for a loose ball again 🙄

The one thing not in Marv's defence (amongst the other reasons he should have done what he did!) is I don't think either shot was heading anywhere near the goal!

Maybe the keeper behind him should be more vocal?
I'd accept that Grimmy could be more vocal generally, always like a keeper to be constantly talking to the defence.

But you can't surely mean the deflected shot as an example? Shot gets hit, Grimmy says wide, Marv says OK, lifts leg out the way?

You are talking split second stuff aswell.
Once the shot was hit Marv will instinctively throw his leg at it. There isn’t really time for Grimshaw to shout Keepers.

'Marv don't stick your leg out to that, it's going wide and I've got it covered anyway'. Surely he could have said that in the 0.3 seconds he had to react? Poor communication from Grimmy🙄

Mac, I think on the second occasion he was holding his place in centre of defence so you could argue that if Pennington was n his rightful place then he would be in a better position to block the shot.
Come to think of it I can’t remember where Pennington was.

Ball went through Penningtons legs

5 points he cost us in 8 da
No he hasn’t.
We had more possession and shots than Stevenage and we absolutely outplayed Charlton.
Had our strikers done their job and put the ball in the net then everything would have been hunky dory.
ITs ery a team game so don’t blame 1 single player.
We have just been very unlucky in our last 2 games but all that will change on Saturday.
