Dembele and Lavery

Absolutely agree, Kouassi had a good first half. Influential in both goals. Perhaps he cant last 90 mins yet. Beasley tries, but no real impact.
When Kouassi can last a bit longer and with more consistency, he will be a very good player. I’d deffo start with Dembele and Lavery. If you are in good form you should keep your place.

Dembele is the closest thing we have had to Wes Hoolahan since Wes Hoolahan.
Lavery is starting to look like the player we first signed before he got injured in the home game against Blackburn.
I think the two of them should start against Bolton with Dembele playing behind Lavery and Rhodes, with Dougall and Norburn giving him a base to play from.
Carey is improving, when Dembele has done 60 or 70 minutes bring Carey on to replace him.
We have a half decent squad for league 1, should be good enough to secure 6th place.
I'd also be tempted to start O'Donnell instead of Grimshaw.

Today we saw more evidence that Dembele cannot yet last 90 mins. Great first half, disappeared in 2nd. Debatable whether best used in first half of second half.

Not sure about dropping Grimshaw yet but he certainly needs to step up performance wise

Was that down to Dembele or something else?
Bromley switched things around in the second half, pressed more and Critchley didn't respond...or did as the team played with far greater caution, far less penetration and an awfully lot less possession. It seemed only a matter of time before Bromley scored. Thankfully they were incredibly wasteful - the event got to them.

Bromley realised that they could muscle Dembele out of the game. From then on he was ineffective.

Agree. To say that Dembele can't play for 90 mins is extremely presumptuous. We appear to have a team at the moment that doesn't have the mental strength to perform for 90 mins. Last night the players instinctively went on the defensive in the 2nd half and that clearly didn't suit Dembele. Is it still a hangover from last season? Whatever the reason, there doesn't appear to be a quick fix and that in particular is worrying. Credit Bromley for their positive approach in the 2nd half, but from our perspective we allowed it to happen, and it happens in most games. The only variable appears to be which of the 2 halves it happens in.

Dembele and Carey competing for the same position puts us in a good position, one starts and when they tire the other one comes on. Play them behind a front two with a licence to cause problems knowing that they have a solid pairing of Dougall and Norburn playing a disciplined role behind them.

Agree with all of that.
