Derek Adams leaves Morecambe

To join Ross County.
That's twice hes walked out on them.
If you do it once there's always a chance you'll do it again.......

A week or so ago I heard an interview with him and he talked about not getting the support from behind the scenes with all the ownership stuff going on at the club. Something like that. Shame for Morecambe fans, he seems a very good lower league coach.

Isn't this the norm now in Football?
Players do it all the time....If another club offers them more money, bigger crowds and the chance to win something....They are off like a shot.
Managers get jobs and then get potted when they lose a few games.....nobody offers them the time to build a team over 2 or 3 seasons anymore.

Sad for Morecambe, but there are enough future 'managers' waiting to start their career....it's just a lottery, that you get a good one.
Maybe an ideal club for Dobby?

I agree with your post, as I like Morecambe, them being a Lancashire club.
Except for the 'maybe' re Dobbie - we must keep him here, in readiness to be our manager at some time in the future.

It's strange that players are protected by transfer windows but not managers.
I'd bring in a rule that managers can be sacked during the season but not replaced by someone already in a job. That would stop the merry go round and disloyalty and maybe give managers more time at a club.

He's gone to Ross County. Not Celtic.

just as the shrimps are finding some sort of stabilty in League 2. no doubt the queue round Morecambe bay will be quite long. Gary Bowyer would be an ideal replacement. Thommo maybe.

Can we not send Dobbie out on loan as a manager then recall him when needed

Ross County though are averaging approx 5,000 at home. And that's only because Rangers and Celtic both took 3,000 this season. Usual home average is nearer 3,000. Morecambe are averaging around 4,200.

Certainly the money should be better given that it's top flight football.

Morecambe will get compo I would think so maybe he’s been encouraged to go. Maybe the owner drove him there himself

Quite funny hearing the Morecambe fan wanting Neil Harris to get the job.
Unless I'm missing something I can't see that at all!
just seen some of the names mentioned. like Colin Hendry said its an attractive job. in the mix for league two and not a bad squad for the level. Neil Harris. maybe a complete change of scenery. . remember once going to the old Christie park for a pre season game.

Having a surprisingly good season after losing major players at the end of last.signing Micky Mellon's lad was a masterstroke . Hope whoever they get in keeps their momentum going.
Be interesting to see if anyone we errm know ..( i.e ex 'Pool ) gets the job
