If you already have a copy of Derek’s book : please bring along if u want it signing ✍️

Ex Pool starlet and fans favourite Derek Spence will now be joining us upstairs in the Billy Ayre Lounge in The Armfield Club on Saturday 13th January prior to the Exeter City match.

If you haven’t met Derek he is a tremendous character with an infectious personality so it’s not to be missed. Derek made 85 appearances for Blackpool scoring 21 goals and also represented Northern Ireland on 29 occasions scoring 3 goals.

In addition to a great professional career Derek also became Blackpool F.C.’s Football in the Community Officer representing the BFC Community Trust for 20 years.

Derek will be sharing stories from his book ‘From The Troubles to the Tower’ (copies available on the day for £10). Derek will be donating proceeds to the BFC Former Players Association which plays an invaluable role putting on events and supporting all who have represented our club.

Please make a note and try to come along and support this event and make it a good start to what will hopefully be a successful match-day. Our former players really enjoy meeting and reminiscing with supporters …. so don’t be shy make sure you come up and say hello, get autographs and have a chat.

And if you are feeling generous you can even buy Derek a pint of Guinness 👍⚽

Always great to hear some of Derek's many stories from his footballing life ... also very grateful that he is donating the proceeds from any of the books he sells that day to our Former Players Association which Derek and I formed in March 2003 ... close on 11 years now ... how time has flown by ! 😀👍⚽🍊
Shouldn't that be close on 21 years now
