Development Squad in action Tuesday 1pm.

I don’t know how the pitch will be at Bamber Bridge tomorrow as it was in a bad state after the last match on Boxing Day against Lancaster city. The game on Saturday was called off due to their opponents having, I think, to resign the league. The club put an appeal out for volunteers to go down to the ground on Sunday afternoon to help repair the pitch- I was going to go but it was cancelled due to a frozen pitch. I go to the home games ( there is a big ex Blackpool contingent at BBFC) & the pitch has definitely become a hindrance as they do try to play on the deck . I will try to go tomorrow if I can work around work.

The pitch is usually immaculate by recently it's really suffered. It's been cutting up quite badly recently as Fonz says, the drainage system isn't great so heavy rain is a problem. I also attend many BB games, have been doing for about 10 years, I live just up the road

Good to see two members of the Trialist family getting a start. Deadly Twin strike force. Odds are available on the Paddy Power app. Blackpool 5/4 on the drift from Evens earlier this morning. As much as I want us to beat Bolton at any level I don't think I'll be betting on this though. Surely some of or normal Reserve Team might be involved in tonight's squad and that would mean our Reserves today are full of kids, ... and the Trialist Twins.

Pool take the lead with a low strike from a Luke Mariette free kick close to the corner flag.
Very poor pitch I'm afraid to say. No bounce.
1-0

I feel sorry for Dobbie.
He has very few players to work with, the better ones get sent out on loan, there's a very restricted fixture list and then when he has a game (today) the pitch was virtually unplayable.
It's not a great situation is it? Like it's not working.

Not sure we’ll ever get the training ground. Like Insider said, I feel sorry for Dobbie. His players get sent out on loan and those that remain have to train at facilities no better than a park. I see very little benefit in us having a Development Squad.

Against the run of play- Blackpool should have been out of sight- numerous chances spurned in the last quarter. The pitch definitely didn’t do them any favours. Still good to watch a game on a Tuesday afternoon.
Agreed. I thought Luke Mariette looked a class above everyone else on the pitch. His work rate, tackling and passing was excellent. He has a real chance of breaking through to the first team.
