Where is the bit to read about it?

It looks like you’ve advertised the fact you’ve had a secret meeting and then asked people to read about the meeting. But the cunning twist is you’ve not written about the meeting.

There are 8000 ST holders, how many members does BST have? Why should the biggest group of supporters (ST holders) have to pass questions onto a minority group to be heard?

Because that‘s the correct Forum …(BST)

It’s not a gagging attempt — anyone can and should make their point via the correct Forum

Keep paying your membership fees to ensure BST can have secret meetings and keep its members out the loop, people 😎

BST aren't very good at keeping their secrets are they given that they made an announcement about this meeting and invited contribution from the entire fanbase!

The correct forum? BST are just one of about a dozen fans groups.

If I have an issue or a question why do I need to ask that question through a fans group I’m not a member of?

For anyone who cares, the latest Seasiders Podcast (out ASAP) has an update from Tim on it about the meeting. Tim basically covers exactly what was said at the meeting.
So now we have to tune in to a podcast, not affiliated to the club, to hear about a secret meeting by the club with a minority supporter group 😂

Posters' cynicism about 'secret' meetings and not trusting BST is uncalled for. The Club wants to engage with its fans. That should be warmly received by all. Blimey, we were falling over ourselves to condemn the Os for either not communicating or for twisting it for their own ends. Here we have a chance for open and honest communication: no hidden agenda, no cozying up, just an opportunity for some dialogue that is welcome from both sides.

Of course it's got to be conducted via an organised group. Otherwise, there would be thousands of us all shouting off in contradictory fashion and that would achieve nothing. That is one of the benefits of BST - to act as a conduit for fans' views. If it were a case of BST telling us of a meeting where they told the Club what the fans think without any consultation, then I would be leading the complaints. But they're not.

So come on all, get those questions in and we'll see how it works.

And perhaps we could have membership meetings ahead of these dialogues so that we can share our thoughts about what to say. That way the BST members attending the dialogues know how they are being delegated.

The truth is that there’s a small, but vocal, group of fans who’ve fallen out with Sadler and been sidelined. And they are taking it out on BST with talk of “secret” meetings (which are not secret at all).

Just respond to what said about the lack of minutes. It must be remembered that the meeting only took place yesterday evening and it was an introduction session in the main rather than there being specific topics.

I do go into some detail on the podcast about what was said, and if you can put up with my dulcet tones, it’s worth a listen

First 30mins or so after intros

Julian also made it clear to be having dialogue on all sorts of levels, not just with BST and other fans groups so watch this space

Are they the sort of people who would like to own the club and run it like a Mexican jail, but lack the funds and the contacts?

The Truth !

Is that there are a small vocal passionate group of fans who want more than boring football in a mediocre third division with a fans group who appear to have morphed into BSA as the mouth piece of the football club

I don't believe that. Far better that you join BST (if not already a member), air your views from the inside and stand for office as a 'fiercely independent' candidate.

A few years ago you gave me pelters for wanting entertaining football. You insisted it was only the results that matter. Oh how times have changed ( along with usernames).

Yeah and we aren't getting results either

So its combination of shite boring football and poor results

Nothing has changed

I don't think I'm a member anymore

I re joined so I could vote in the elections, the person I voted for has subsequently left the committee as he thought it was a complete waste of time

I also think they are a complete waste of time

The new CEO wants to speak with the fans through BST. I would not call that a waste of time. Phil, you do seem to put a lot of energy into being negative. Think how useful it would be if you were to use it positively - and no, I am not trying to be patronising.

Wanting the best for the club isn't being negative

And to be honest i would much prefer a proper fans forum instead of this sanitised BST led nonsense that we have

Aren't fans forums normally for season ticket holders? Those that put their money up and support the club? Which sadly means that the likes of you that spout off on here won't get an invite!

Makes sense to me for BST to be engaged in dialogue with the Club and they ought to be the organisation that is best placed to represent the majority of fans.Hopefully ongoing communication with the Club will be productive and will continue.

I've got no problem with that, equally when I had a season ticket like I have had for the last few years I also had no problem with that

If you want to have a cheap dig you need to try harder

It's also worth noting that you dont have to have a season ticket to support the club

Infact send me a private message and we can arrange to have a chat before the match tomorrow

THis bit I agree with.
BST is the biggests independent fan group. If you want to be closer to the club, join BST and get involved.
But I don't personally listen to podcasts, and the content of the meeting, if disclosed, should be through printed minutes, not the random musings of one of the attendees.

You don't have to have a season ticket to support the club but most fans who can afford to commit to the club by buying one seem to do so. You, instead go through your tiresome "I might buy, I might not, I need to see commitment" routine every year.

But they dont represent the majority of fans, just like BSA didn't mate
Nobody does. Government doesn't represent the majority of the people. BST represents a proportion of fans who can be bothered to make the effort to get involved to whatever degree they want. How do you differentiate between a fan and a customer? You have to have some conduit. It's never going to be perfect.
