The membership option isn't just for ticket discounts. It gives priority for certain situations, and enables the club to manage sales better. In this situation, restricting sales to season ticket holders and members ensures that the tickets aren't bought up by Rangers fans. For a number of reasons, we can only make a few home games with our 5 year old grandson (probably as last season, 4 - 5 games), so membership isn't a worthwhile or cost effective option for us.
However, we wanted to buy tickets on line (as we usually do) for the Rangers game, only to find that we can't unless we purchase memberships.
Either the site isn't working as it should (in blocking our purchase), or the pricing isn't fair for exiles who can't attend regularly.
Yes.
Thanks TT, but the arrangement isn't good for the likes of us, and we've watched pool for over 50 years and were ST holders for the 13 years we lived in Blackpool. The membership option isn't just for ticket discounts. Maybe contact the ticket office - the membership is a simple but blunt tool to restrict sales. Thanks TT, but the arrangement isn't good for the likes of us, and we've watched pool for over 50 years and were ST holders for the 13 years we lived in Blackpool.
We do appreciate that BFC can't please everyone, but it's very disappointing.
That's a new one stopping locals buying match tickets who've a booking history that can't be right. The membership option isn't just for ticket discounts. I have no idea. I was just assuming that they're trying to encourage people to sign up for membership, so they're giving them priority over these tickets. That's a new one stopping locals buying match tickets who've a booking history that can't be right.
How is a £15 membership not worth it if you go to four or five games a season? Thanks TT, but the arrangement isn't good for the likes of us, and we've watched pool for over 50 years and were ST holders for the 13 years we lived in Blackpool.

Not everyone is in a position to afford 2 x £15 up front. Last season each game costs us approximately £100.How is a £15 membership not worth it if you go to four or five games a season?
Everybody who has an interest in the club should be purchasing a membership even if they don't get back exactly their £15 worth. Just view it as your contribution to the club with the added bonus you might get a playoff/cup game ticket.
Certainly everybody who regularly reads/contributes to this messageboard should get one. For £1.25 a month think of it as an 'AVFTT content fee' where you get to read brilliant insights like this.
Yes but worth highlighting again.
