Did Simmo have a chant when he was with us?

When my kids were youngsters we went to a Derby reserves game and he was the only player who would bother signing autographs, the rest just stared ahead and walked away.

Paul was a good player for us albeit at the end of his career, he'd lost his speed but was still a class player who exuded quality. Simmo was above all his achievements, a very polite gentleman who had time for the fans.

I will always maintain that the job he did at Preston was the period i most enjoyed in Simmo's career, the work he did as an agent behind enemy lines was pure class, taking over from Billy Davies he transformed a play off side and set them on course for administration and relegation, well done!

Simmo was great for us, a wand of a left foot.

Scored with a sweet volley into the Kop goal from miles out, was it on his debut and/or against Rochdale?!

We spoke to him in the car park outside Elland Road for about 5 minutes, before the Mighty 'Pool thumped the no-longer Mighty Whites 5-0 - a thoroughly nice and decent bloke t'boot!!

👍🧡

Spoken before about him. I've chatted to him quite a few times when he was a player here. What an absolutely lovely bloke he is. Quite shy, unassuming, down to earth, friendly and very, very passionate.

Brilliant for us ,when he received the ball I could relax in the knowledge that it would be looked after caressed and despatched to one of our own 👍🏻
