How can I feel deflated even though we won ? but sadly I did . The lack of entertainment once again was painful , our guys upfront just won’t shoot when they are near the goal , the only time they shoot is during the warm up ! What is worse I can’t see us performing any different than today on Tuesday as we’ve performed the same way all season , he doesn’t change what is a failed boring system with players that aren’t good enough to make it work . Only Grimshaw and the post saved us from the usual embarrassment 👎
 
You were watching a different game to me.
The first half was good and very entertaining. Second half much less so.
I’d be more than happy if on Tuesday we performed like we did in the first half.
If we perform like we did in the second half today on Tuesday then agree it’s going to be a long night .

No disrespect but you must be easily pleased to describe that as "very entertaining".

Aside from picking the ball out of the net their keeper didn't have a save to make. Grimshaw was much busier against a really poor team.

Turgid, boring and completely ineffectual football, but if it gets you excited then fair do's.
 
The football first half was decent, with Buyers, Carey and Coulson all performing well, albeit against a poor CUFC.

Least said about the second half the better.

Our forwards to a man don't look like scoring.

Just hope we put in a decent shift on Tuesday against the pub team from Fish Town.

First half was decent .
 
Second half was poor, there's no denying, but the first half saw some good build up play with Carey playing well and the team right on the front foot.

On another day we could easily have scored 4 in that first half. Carey should have had a hat trick on his own.
 
As we only had three shots on target ( not sure I remember them ) one of which was a goal not sure how we’d score four especially the way we played the second half , and most of the first . Dull , boring and a lack of entertainment as I said earlier.

Three shots on target is a massive improvement. Things are looking up.
 
Thought we played good football first half pulling them out of shape to create good positions wide, all that was missing was the quality of the final ball in.
The second half was awful as we reverted to type.
 
I agree with the op, the thing that deflated me was watching Blackpool players who were clearly on cruise control, i.e. CJ and Kouassi

On another day Grimmy doesn't make that great save and the other shot goes in off the post.
On another day Voke's shot goes in instead of hitting the bar against Wycombe and we'd all be here bemoaning 0 points from our last two home matches.

Instead of saying we'd do this that and the other on other days ,let's focus on the actual day. Even after a win we're still talking about how badly most of the team played.

That 1st half yesterday was the minimum we should be expecting from this group of players.
The 2nd half, sadly, was the norm for this season😩
 
Walked away with a sense of indifference and that is dangerous when you voluntarily have to hand over about £15 a game.

first twenty minutes were good but the decline started from thereon in. In the end the only thing pleasing was that we won.
