Died and gone to heaven.

All I want to do is hug a Blackpool fan after watching that. I hope Simon Sadler and Neil Critchley enjoyed watching this as much as I did and have a renewed determination to match that achievement. Who says it's only football! Post-Covid the world can still be tangerine.

It is only football... but it's hopes and dreams as well. Still can't believe I was there that day. Those are the memories that keep me going. Keep me believing that a sea of tangerine can do it again. Blackpool till I die.

I honestly believe we'll get those good times back pretty soon, and this time it'll be built on more solid foundations.
Strangely though I don't think it would feel quite the same next time. It would be lovely and those strong foundations would be there but that really was a one off for me.

Strange the difference I felt between 2 great Finals.
In 1953 I was 17 y.o. and with my best friends, met my cousin who lived in London after the game. Great feelings etc.
However, on reflection, I was far more excited and happy after the Cardiff game.
It could be that the image of 1953 has faded, and as I was so young I also was thinking of other things.
Going into the Armed Forces was obviously on my mind, and I was nervous about that at the time.
I think the Cardiff game was such a great game and the after match celebrations, which seemed so different from '53,
that it's memories are still with me.
Loved them both though.😃👍

I was gutted after Wet Spam so to me it did mean as much again but I would rather that we are where we are now rather than still have the odious ones involved. Can you imagine how much they could have stripped the club of if we had gone up again?

happiest Yeovil, most exciting Cardiff, worse West Ham. next will be the best!!! no O,s who were beautifully edited out of the you tube.

Dave - the 1953 win was in the middle of a period of high quality football and top division football for the club. 2010 was after 39 years in the wilderness - so long that we thought we would never get there again. So it was more special for a wider range of generations
