Said this all along, with a couple of decent signings in Jan, we will end up nearer the top, than the bottom, come the eod of the season. Lyons is deffo a good one, weve know about for a while, Josh coming back is a no brainer and some midfielders and we are ready to go. One gripe, is Im not keen on Premier cry babies. Give me a rough and ready Championship player any day, ideally in the form of Keith Southern. But its upwards from here, mark my words.

Connolly most certainly isn't an enforcer and I don't know why people think Lyons is going to walk straight into the first X!, MA has already said he is a way off yet. We need Connolly for right back.

I've thought this for a while. Now that Connolly is well established , could he do that valuable job as holding midfielder if we can't sign anyone ? My only reservation is that he's been tried there before, and not exactly excelled.

Watching Poveda giving the Sunderland players twisted blood, I said that it just takes one flair player to reinvigorate a team that was toiling.
It lifts the other 10, gives them belief, inspires them to raise their game.

Add Bowler and (hopefully) Rogers, and we could as exciting to watch in the second half of the season as we have been plodding in the last couple of months.

Is Lyon’s not a left back rather than a right back? He might be able to play there but it would be a big ask to put him straight into Championship football if it is his wrong side.

I’d be surprised if Connolly doesn’t stay at RB until Gaby is fully fit.

Talk about getting carried away. Signing Bowler gives us at least a fighting chance of survival. If we sign a decent midfielder and maybe a defender then maybe a good chance. I suspect finding the right players for those positions will be a much harder task.

We just need one of the new signings to able take the throwins away from Connolly and we’re sorted

We are still short in a few positions but if we can get Bowler match fit quickly, and the Rogers kid is as good as people are saying, we now have some skill where we need it.

I thought we would go down before the season started and that is still on the cards....but we now have a fighting chance of staying up.
