Why would I be upset?
Fantastic defending for 90 minutes with 10 men in a game they were never going to win and but let’s not forget £120,000 for getting to 5th round plus 45% of tonight’s gate receipts.
Let’s see how McCarthy's marauders fair on Saturday I bet it’s a lot earlier than 90 minutes and that’s just the first. 🫤

Unfortunately it seems you will only be happy with losing by more than the cods. Sad really but you are very clearly upset and disappointed... as I said, rightly so, I'd be the same if it was Blackpool losing like that.
 
If we play in that style on Saturday these praising the Cods will be slating us for negativity.

How short sighted is that? You re that prejudiced that you can't see that extra time , maybe a penalty exit would have benefitted Us massively on Saturday rather than a 90 th morale boosting winner .

You do realise it's a bit different going in a cup game with nothing to lose, to a Championship team making 7 changes than playing in the league against their best 11, where you're under pressure to pick up points?

You lose a game like that 99% of the time and usually by far more. They did have 10 men though for half of it, but we've shown 10 can still do things at times.

We'll see what happens Sat, as we're in a poor place right now confidence wise, but last time we went to Turf Moor we came back from 3-1 down against their best team and battered them 2nd half, which no-one has done this season really.
 
We have home advantage, we’ve had a week off and we’ll have learned a few things from that game - should take some confidence in to Saturday IMHO.

First defeat in 6 for the Cods if we had a run like that we’d be out of the bottom 3.

Anyway we managed the same number of shots on goal as the Cods did a big fat zero but they were away and only had 10 men. 🫣

What about Gabriel's that was blocked?

What about Yates' that was deflected wide in the first half?

And Fleetwood played the reserves.

You must be gutted pool got a better result than your beloved cods, especially against their 1st team today, certainly sounds like it. Sorry you lost your bet 😂.

Excellent fighting performance today by the mighty and actually a little disappointed not to win as only 1 team pressing for the 3 points at the end. Hey ho always next week 👍.
 
Based off the stats alone, the number of shots, on another day Fleetwood get tonked by their 2nd team.

On another day for us it was fairly even in big chances and thats twice now they couldn't beat us. 1st time at their place we battered them 2nd half.

We conceded possession too much but gave them very little and could have nicked it at the end. We've also got the pressure of playing for points.
