He's inexplicably huge in Scotland. Got a Hampden Park show in for next summer which sold out very quickly. He's not my cup of tea, musically, but he's doing it all via a straight-to-distribution deal (so no label, etc), so fair play to the lad. Not the easiest to break through without that label support...

He does a great take on it though and looks good fun live.

Just listened to a few of his songs on You Tube. Discoland is quite a catchy song and the live crowd singing along to it in one of the videos did so enthusiastically. I notice Gerry was wearing a cap very similar to the one Bob Dylan wore on the cover of his first album. I am guessing Dylan is one of his influences.
